What changed in this version

The Terms cover every region where FamilyDose is offered at launch, with the minimum age of the account holder in each.
Your consents to keep health information and to store data in Japan are separate from these Terms and recorded on their own.
Telegram alerts were removed; notifications go by push and email.
New section "What FamilyDose is and is not", the same in the Privacy Policy, including that FamilyDose is not a medical device.
"Reminders are not guaranteed" is its own section, and "Ending your account" matches what the app does, including deletion without the app.
Plus and subscriptions point to the separate Plus Subscription Terms.

1. Agreement

These Terms are an agreement between you and Primelink Digital Online Seller, a sole establishment licensed by the Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai, licence no. 1603034, P.O. Box 48800, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"), which operates FamilyDose. Contact: support@familydose.app.

When you create an account, the app asks you to accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy and checks your age from your date of birth. We record which version you accepted and when. If you do not agree, do not use FamilyDose.

The app also asks, separately, for your explicit consent to keep health information and for your consent to store data in Japan and have it processed by the service providers named in the Privacy Policy. Those consents are not part of these Terms. The Privacy Policy explains them and how to withdraw them.

2. What FamilyDose is and is not

FamilyDose is a record-keeping and reminder tool that holds family health information. It is not a clinical service and it is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, advise, or tell anyone what or how much to give. Reminders follow the schedule the user sets and can be delayed or fail.

What you see in FamilyDose is what you or someone in your household entered. Always check the record before giving a dose. FamilyDose is not an emergency service. For any question about a medicine, a dose or a symptom: Ask your doctor or pharmacist.

The app has no built-in dose limits. It does not warn that a dose is too soon or too much. It does not calculate doses.
The "next scheduled" time comes only from the interval you set.
Before you save a dose, the app may show the plain record of the last dose of the same medicine: the time and who logged it. That is a record, not advice.
The temperature alert is optional and uses a temperature you set.
Growth charts show your entries with WHO reference curves, for information only, not a diagnosis.
The vaccination booklet records only what you enter. Official schedules are shown only as a labelled reference for information.
A scan fills in fields for you to check. Nothing from a scan is saved until you confirm it. A scan can be read wrongly.

لا يحتوي التطبيق على حدود مدمجة للجرعات. لا يحذّر من أن الجرعة مبكرة جدًا أو كبيرة جدًا. ولا يحسب الجرعات.

3. Who can use FamilyDose

FamilyDose is offered in the Gulf, the rest of the Middle East and North Africa, Asia (not mainland China), Africa, Latin America, the United States and Canada (Not offered yet: Canada opens when the app is in French).

You must be an adult to have an account: at least 18, or 19 if you live in South Korea, Algeria or Canada (Not offered yet), 20 in Thailand, and 21 in Kuwait or Bahrain. The app checks this from your date of birth. If we learn that an account holder is under the minimum age, we delete the account.

Patients, including children, do not have accounts and do not sign in. You may add a child's information only if you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or act for them with their permission, and only after the parent or legal guardian has given consent for that child in the app.

4. Your account and devices

Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once at support@familydose.app if you think someone else has used it.

Your account can be signed in on one phone and one tablet at a time. Signing in on a new phone signs out the phone you used before, and we tell you about the new sign-in. [CONFIRM: device limit at publication, and whether it differs between the free tier and Plus]

5. Households and roles

A household is a shared record. Each household has:

Admin: the household owner.
Full access members.
Restricted members, who can do only what they have been allowed to do.

The Admin can:

invite and remove members. Removing a member signs them out on every device.
set each member's access level and what they may do.
switch a member's access to a patient off.
remove a patient from the household and restore a removed patient.
delete the household. A deleted household is kept for 30 days so it can be restored, then permanently deleted.

Entries a member made stay in the household's history after that member leaves or is removed. A parent or guardian can see who entered each record.

تبقى الإدخالات التي أجراها عضو في السجل التاريخي للأسرة بعد مغادرته أو إزالته. ويستطيع أحد الوالدين أو الولي معرفة من أدخل كل سجل.

Before the Admin leaves the household or deletes their account, they choose a new Admin from the members who have their own sign-in and meet the minimum age. If nobody can be chosen, the household is deleted, after a warning and an offer to download the data. It is kept for 30 days, then deleted for good.

Choose carefully who you invite and what access you give them.

6. Your content

You own what you enter into FamilyDose.

You give us a limited permission to store it, process it and show it, only to run the service for you and your household. That covers:

showing it to the members of your household, according to their access;
including it in the reminders and alerts you and your household choose to receive;

reading a scan, when you ask for one.

If the usage data switch is on, we also record which features are used, as the Privacy Policy describes. You can turn that off in Settings, Data and privacy.

This permission ends when the content is deleted, apart from backups, which roll off after 7 days. We do not sell your content. We do not use it for advertising.

7. Sharing links and exported files

You can create a care card for a patient as a web link and as a PDF. You can also share a summary PDF and an export of your data.

Anyone who has a care card link can open it without signing in and see the sections you chose. The page is unlisted, not locked.
You can give a link an end date, and you can revoke it at any time.
The app asks you to confirm each time you share a link.
A PDF or exported file leaves FamilyDose when you share it. We cannot recall it or control what happens to it.

You are responsible for who you share links and files with. Share a patient's information only when you are entitled to.

8. Reminders are not guaranteed

Reminders and alerts are not guaranteed. They follow the schedule and the settings you chose. Any of the following can delay or stop a notification:

your phone being off, out of battery, or offline;
notification permissions and settings on the phone;

your own FamilyDose settings, such as a channel you switched off, quiet hours, or a patient switched off for you.

Email can arrive later than a push notification.

Each person's settings apply only to that person. If a notification matters to your household, check that at least one person is set to receive it.

Always check the record before giving a dose. Do not rely on a notification arriving.

9. Email and push notifications

Notifications can contain medicine names and a patient's first name, unless you hide medicine names in Settings, Notifications.
If you add a second email address, make sure you are entitled to use it.
Push notifications are delivered through Expo and Apple, and emails through Resend. Their terms apply to their services.

10. Plus and subscriptions

FamilyDose has a free tier and an optional paid tier, FamilyDose Plus. Plus is not on sale yet. When Plus goes on sale it will be sold through Apple in-app purchase.

Safety reminders and alerts are never paid features.

11. Acceptable use

record information about a person without the right to do so;
try to reach another household's data, or get around the permissions set for you;
upload unlawful content, or content you have no right to upload;
disrupt the service, probe it for weaknesses without our written permission, or overload it;
copy, scrape, resell or reverse-engineer the service, except where the law allows it;
use FamilyDose to run a clinic, pharmacy, care business or other professional service. [CONFIRM: owner decision on professional use]

We may suspend or end an account that breaks these Terms. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you the chance to export your data.

12. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings, Data and privacy, Delete account.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. It cannot be undone.
If you are the only member of your household, the household and everything in it are deleted too.
If the household is shared, it stays for the other members. Entries you made stay in its history, shown without your name. [CONFIRM: the label shown in the app; the current code shows "Household member"]
The delete screen offers to delete your own patient profile and its records as well.
If you are the Admin of a shared household, you choose its new Admin first; if nobody can be chosen, the household is deleted with your account; it is kept for 30 days, then deleted for good.
Our database backups roll off after 7 days.

You can export your data first: Settings, Data and privacy, Export my data.

If you no longer have the app, you can ask for deletion on the web at https://familydose.app/support#delete-account: email privacy@familydose.app from your account's email address, and we confirm and delete the account within 30 days.

The Privacy Policy lists exactly what is deleted and what is kept.

Deleting your account does not cancel a Plus subscription. Cancel it in your Apple account subscriptions settings.

13. Changes to these Terms

When these Terms or the Privacy Policy change, the app shows you the new version and a short summary of what changed, and asks you to accept it before you continue. If you do not agree, you can export your data and delete your account from the same screen.

14. No warranty

FamilyDose is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or suited to a particular need. We do not promise that any reminder, alert, scan reading or record will be delivered, complete or correct.

يُقدَّم FamilyDose كما هو. نعمل على إبقائه عاملًا ودقيقًا، لكننا لا نعد بأنه سيكون متاحًا دائمًا، أو خاليًا من الأخطاء، أو مناسبًا لحاجة معينة. ولا نعد بأن أي تذكير أو تنبيه أو قراءة مسح أو سجل سيصل أو سيكون كاملًا أو صحيحًا.

15. Limitation of liability

FamilyDose is a record and a reminder. Decisions about care are made by you and by the professionals you consult.

To the extent the law allows:

we are not liable for loss or harm that results from a missed, late, repeated or wrong notification, from a scan that was read wrongly, or from a decision made using information that you or another member entered;
we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss;

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, and nothing removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be removed by agreement, including rights under the consumer law of the country you live in.
